Life skills are defined as “a group of psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve
problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner.
Our Basic Life Skills Courses aim is to inform individuals of the conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks.
Our Basic Health Training Classes offers aspiring nurses hoping to take on entry-level jobs in healthcare take advantage of courses such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training or Basic Life Support (BLS) training. The training program includes supplemental, add-on training modules for more advanced training and certification in key topics, including OSHA-mandated Bloodborne Pathogens Training, Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector, Asthma Inhaler Training, and Administering Emergency Oxygen.
We support Caregivers and train in the introductory course as well as supply initial Information on healthcare, long term care and the physical changes in older adults. The course is designed to teach how to assist people with Disabilities and other Access and Functional Needs with the basic Activities of Daily Living, i.e. Mobility Assistance, Transferring Assistance, Feeding Assistance and Observation.

WWRM™ Certified Community Health Workers promote health within the community by assisting individuals to adopt healthy behaviors. We serve as an advocate for the health needs of individuals by assisting community residents in effectively communicating with healthcare providers or social service agencies. We act as liaisons and implement programs that promote, maintain, and improve individual and overall community health. We deliver health-related preventive services such as blood pressure, glaucoma, and hearing screenings. We assist individuals in prevention, treatment and other related health issues such as; Programs for getting it DONE: Diabetes, Obesity, Nutrition and Exercise. We collect data to help identify community health needs.

Dougla are trained professional who provide emotional, physical, and informational support for birthing people before, during and after the labor and birth process. Doulas provide one-on-one comfort measures, reassurance, and information useful to weighing decisions about birth interventions.
Our Certified Perinatal Coach™ connects underserved pregnant women to other women in their communities who are specially trained as doulas to provide support during the critical times of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum/early parenting.
Our Community-Based Doula Program objectives are to increase the rates of extended and exclusive breastfeeding in communities with low breastfeeding rates. Reduce the rates of low birth weight and prematurity, particularly in Black/African American communities. Reduce the use of c-sections among Black/African Americans and Hispanics unless they are medically necessary. Reduce the use of epidurals in favor of alternative pain management techniques. To ensure the birthing person feels safe, empowered, informed, respected, and heard throughout their pregnancy, labor, and delivery experience, regardless of whether they are giving birth in a hospital or at home.
The program is based on the power of peer-to-peer support. Because doulas are of and from the same community as their clients, they are able to understand language and cultural needs and create long-term links to support networks.
WWRM™ supports “Living and Dying Well” concepts and adaptations. We provide visitation to clients, patients and families offering emotional support that can provide comfort and aids healing in both critical and non-critical situations. Bereavement services include phone calls, visits and memorial services, to family members upon the death of a patient and/or family member.
We facilitate and offer advance care planning documents including Living Will/Directive to Physicians and Medical Power of Attorney to honor end of life wishes.
We help families, victims, and witnesses of crime and other potentially traumatic events, access needed services and supports, while fostering their development of knowledge and skills to advocate more independently with community agencies, schools, etc.
